Heavier paddles generate more power but may cause fatigue. Start lighter if new to pickleball. Most paddles fall between 7.3 - 8.5 oz.

Measure from the middle crease of your palm to the tip of your ring finger. When in doubt, size down — an overgrip adds roughly 1/16" - 1/8" but you can't shrink a grip that's too large.

USA Pickleball rules cap paddles at 17" in length and combined length + width at 24". Look for USAP-approved paddles for tournament play.

Most modern paddles use polymer honeycomb cores. Thicker cores (16mm) absorb more energy for control; thinner cores (13mm) return more energy for power.
